Spacecraft Design was founded in 2015 with a simple belief: that great architecture should be both imaginative and executable. Too often, design practices excel at one or the other: beautiful ideas that can’t be built, or technically sound work that lacks vision. We set out to bridge that gap.<\/p>\n
From the beginning, we’ve been drawn to complex projects, the ones where design, construction, commercial reality and human experience all have to work together. Hotels that need to perform financially while delivering genuine hospitality. Accommodation developments that have to stack up on a feasibility, while still feeling considered. Commercial spaces that reflect a brand without sacrificing function.<\/p>\n
We work as a single, integrated studio, architecture and interiors under one roof, coordinated from day one. This means fewer handoffs, less lost information, and a stronger design outcome. We collaborate closely with developers, builders, operators and consultants, and we stay involved through construction because that’s where design intent either survives or gets lost.<\/p>\n
Today, we operate across Adelaide and Melbourne, with projects running nationally. We’re a boutique practice by choice, senior designers on every project, a team that communicates directly, and a culture built around solving problems rather than protecting territory.<\/p>\n
